About Us

Sponsored by the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Historicon brings together the largest gathering of historical wargamers in North America for four days worth of tabletop gaming, demonstrations, and tournaments. Historical miniature hobbyists and professionals gather from all over to share trade secrets and participate in a massive market full of exclusive and new merchandise from recognized exhibitors and up-and-coming names. Historicon features training sessions and discussions led by leading names in the industry. Though history is the overall theme, fantasy, steampunk, horror, and science fiction miniatures and tabletop gaming also have a presence.

2021 COVID Policies

The Historical Miniature Gaming Society has confirmed it will be following all Federal, State, and Local authorities for COVID restrictions. However, per the society board:

● All Historicon 2021 attendees must wear a mask in all HMGS-controlled areas.
● Individuals found not wearing a mask with be asked to put one on.
● Further non-compliance will result in a full ban from the convention.
● Masks are not required in the hotel lobby, casino, parking garage, or other on-site public areas.

Additionally, for Historicon 2021, attendees are required to provide accurate contact information. Anyone that refuses will not be permitted entry into the convention.

These guidelines are subject to change.

Featured Events

Historicon 2021 is brimming with scheduled events, including a large selection of wargames and tabletop skirmishes running every day. The North American Society for Ancient and Medieval Wargaming will also be hosting a series of tournaments and additional sponsored competitive games are scheduled throughout the convention and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Historicon 2021 will bring back its War College lectures with a full schedule of discussions and presentations. Historical seminars and open debates will provide attendees with inspiration for wargaming scenarios.

Volunteer Information

The Historical Miniatures Gaming Society is actively seeking volunteers for Historicon 2021. Volunteers work in increments of 5, 10, and 20 hours and will receive compensation in the form of t-shirts, convention entrance, food and exhibitor vouchers, and more based on the amount of time volunteered.

Volunteers can be assigned to Logistics, the Exhibit Hall, the Information Booth, Registration, the GM Help Desk, and more.
