Gettysburg, Pa. (January 26, 2022) – Military Miniature Magazine, a branch of SJR Research, LLC historical research company, has launched a community forum. The new forum, which is available at www.militaryminiature.com/forum, features six primary categories, including:
- Community & Events
- Game Design
- Miniature/Terrain Design
- Historical Periods
Designed to bring together the historical wargaming miniature community, the forum encourages individuals, gaming groups, vendors, and retailers to participate in friendly, productive discussions about different aspects of wargaming, painting miniatures, conventions, tournaments, and local groups. Military Miniature’s forum also doubles as a marketplace, where vendors and private sellers can list products for sale or trade.
The Military Miniature Magazine forum will double as an outlet for users to share or find tips and trips on 3D painting, basing, map development, researching, and general game design. Game developers are also encouraged to join the forum and make use of the Game Design category to canvas for playtesters, share their works in progress, and discuss design theory and general game design.
Regional wargaming groups across the United States and Canada are encouraged to register as forum users to participate in the list of regional subgroups. Military Miniature aims to build a community of players that can find local groups to join and share their passion for historical wargaming and miniatures.
Users can register for access to Military Miniature Magazine’s forum and build a personalized profile, which includes unique identifiers, an avatar, and customizable signature.
